After 20 years of service as a police officer in Saginaw, Michigan, Jim Rollin
returned to school and received a joint doctorate in social work and social
sciences from the University of Michigan. While on faculty as an Assistant Professor
in the Jane Addams College of Social Work at UIC, Dr. Rollin became involved in
the SWEEP project and moved to the faculty of the Graduate School
of Social Work at AAU, teaching several inaugural MSW program courses. He is
joined by his wife, Pat, who volunteers as a tutor for a local support group.
This is Jim and Pat's third year in Addis Ababa. Read a first-hand account of their experiences
and adventures in "Ethiopia by E-mail". If you would like to catch up on what happened in the past
