CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The curriculum is called the “Integrated Community Development and Child Welfare Model of Practice.” The curriculum consists of three major components each of which encompasses essential skills in protecting and strengthening poor children and families through poverty reduction and child protection efforts at the family and community levels. The first training component presents the practice skills for working effectively with small groups and carrying out strengths- and asset -based community assessment. The second training component addresses poverty reduction through asset-based and family based community development. The third training component addresses child welfare services in Ethiopia, in the context of child developmental stages, trauma-informed practice, and family and community development.
